Born Marion R. Thomas on Feb. 1, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY to Frederick and Bertha Thomas (nee Langdon), she lived in Laurel for many years prior to relocating to Millersville about 6 years ago. A homemaker Mrs. Knisley enjoyed Travel, taking several trips to Europe, she enjoyed cruising and family vacations in Ocean City. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed word puzzles. In addition to her parents, she is preceeded in death by her husband Edward L. Knisley and five brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son James E. Wines of Glen Burnie, daughters Carol Ann Slavic of Pasadena and Diane Lynn Laubach of Frederick as well as 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She passed away peacefully at Mandrin Hospice House following an extended illness.
