Obituaries

On August 10, 2012, Mary E. Brown of Baltimore, previously of Glen Burnie, passed away peacefully at home. She was 83. Devoted wife of Theodore J. Brown for 23 years; Beloved mother of Tracy Platt and her husband Kenneth of Baltimore and Timothy T. Brown and his partner Arlena King of Glen Burnie; Cherished grandmother of Evelyn Brown of Glen Burnie; Loving godmother of Cynthia Mueller of Annapolis. She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Ellen Owens. Born in Bristol, Mary graduated from Hyattsville High School in 1945. She worked as a legal secretary for 14 years at North Arundel Hospital in the admitting office and in the business office for 25 years. Mary enjoyed being a stay at home mom and raising her two children. She also like to camp, travel and most especially spending time with her family. An active member of Harundale Presbyterian Church, Mary was involved with the Circle Chairman, Deacon, served on the Outreach Committee, was a member of Prayer & Share and was also active in the Free Lunch Program.
