Alan Bennett

Alan Bennett, age 73,  of Glen Burnie, Maryland , died December 20, 2018. Born Jan 29, 1945 to the late Elmer and Judy(Dolfi) Bennett in Baltimore Maryland. Survived by his wife of 40 years Barbara Loraw Bennett, Sister Sandra Jean Norris of Bel Air Maryland and Nephew Michael Alan Norris (Kim) also of Bel Air.

Alan served in the Air Force from 1966 -1969. He received his Bachelors Degree from the University of Maryland. Alan had a long career as a Manufacturing Engineer, Starting with Koppers Co, Inc. and ending with Baltimore Air Coil. He retired in 2005 before beginning working at H & R Block helping people prepare their tax returns. He enjoyed watching sports and was a Ravens and Orioles fan .Alan enjoyed many fun activities in his lifetime which included golf, travel, trivia, and crossword puzzles.

Services and Interment are private. In Lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to SPCA of Anne Arundel County, 1815 Bay Ridge Ave., Annapolis ,Maryland 21403. In his spirit he would ask that you pay a kindness to a stranger to make the world a better place.
