On February 28, 2011, Alan (Sonny) Lee Lough passed away at BWMC. He was 80. Born on August 12, 1930 in Pennsylvania, he lived in Glen Burnie since 1955. Devoted husband of 56 years to Mona L. Lough (nee McCracken); Beloved father of Kathy L. Lough of Severna Park and Mark A. Lough of Glen Burnie; Caring brother of Lois McGee of PA and Elma McDonald of VA. He was predeceased by his sisters Norma Iser and Jean Watson.
Sonny served his country as a member of the United States Army and served in Korea as a military policeman. He was a member of the Harundale Presbyterian Church in Glen Burnie and the Marley Walking Club at the mall. Sonny worked for Arundel Sales & Service until he retired. After retirement, he also owned his own business: Marathon Saw. He enjoyed gardening and growing his own vegetables which he generously shared with friends. Sonny also loved animals, especially his cat who would also be nearby as Sonny played his games on the computer. He enjoyed fixing things, spending time with his family and working with his hands tinkering with things. Sonny favored a quiet and humble life. He often enjoyed spending quiet at the ocean or in the country. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
