Alice V. Kaplan

Born Alice V. Lake in Baltimore to Mynard E. and Nellie Lake (nee Clement). She married Joseph W. Kaplan in 1941 and they were married for 60 years until his death in 2001. She lived in the Severn area from 1952-2003 when declining health caused her to move in with her daughter Sue V. Verillo in Arnold. For many years she worked as the Pharmacy Manager at Ferndale Pharmacy. In her spare time Alice enjoyed Crochet, Gardening and Sports. She was an avid fan of both the Ravens and the Orioles.  In addition to her daughter she is survived by a son Joseph W. Kaplan, Jr. of Ducula, GA, a sister, Dorothy M. Orem of Baltimore, five grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She passed away peacefully at Copper Ridge Nursing Home in Sykesville.
