On March 12, 2010, Allen N. Kellenberger of Charlestown passed away. Loving companion of Elaine Swain of Charlestown; Devoted father of Glenna J. Simmons of Pasadena and Ralph A. Kellenberger of Dover, DE; Caring step-father of Patricia Munson of South Carolina and Robert Dodge of Catonsville and Jim Dodge of Pasadena; Cherished brother of Ruth Gill of Glen Burnie, Betty Burow of Nebraska and Paul Kellenberger of Glen Burnie, Dale Kellenberger of Easton and Jean Kellenberger of Glen Burnie; Adoring grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 5. He was predeceased by his wife of 44 years Doris L. Kellenberger and his wife of 17 years Jessielea Kellenberger. Born on February 2, 1923, at home on West Landell Street in Baltimore, Allen moved to Glen Burnie when he was two and has lived in the Glen Burnie/Severna Park area his entire life. He moved to Charlestown in 2006. He graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1940. He started working at the B&O Railroad in 1940 and enlisted in the United States Army-Airforce in 1942. He attended Officer's Candidate school from 1942 to 1946. Allen graduated from the University of Baltimore in 1952 with a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree and passed the bar in 1952. He worked as a tax attorney for CSX before retiring in 1983. Allen was also the superintendent of Sunday School for Glen Burnie United Methodist Church for 12 years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and crabbing. Allen also liked to travel was a 'snowbird' for many, many years
