Allen Gene Kindley

Allen Gene Kindley was born in Huntington, Indiana on April 29, 1936 to Beatrice Louise Kindley. Allen joined the Coast Guard right away and served 10 years, the first time and reenlisting again. He received a Good Conduct Medal with one Bronze Star during his service. He was also a service manager for International Harvester. Allen loved the outdoors, especially fishing. He was a member of the Marlin Club, had his captain license and would often charter fishing boats.

Allen leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, Janet Ann (Ewers) Kindley; his children, Alcira Kindley of Honduras, Sandi Holtzclaw of Florida, Allen Holtzclaw of Florida, Lisa Boston (James) of Arbutus, and John Kindley (Jennifer) of Bel Air; loving grandfather of Allison Kindley, Adam Kindley, Ryan Smith, Shelby Smith and many more and great grandfather of Tyler Smith and many more.

Family and friends may call at the KIRKLEY-RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Friday, April 9, 2021, from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm. Funeral service, Saturday, April 10, 2021, 11 am at the funeral home. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
