Alona Maria “LixieJane” Reed, 53, of Maryland, died on Sunday, February 5, 2023 surrounded by her children.

Alona was born on April 30, 1969 in Illinois to the late Robert and Lucy (Tweed) Reed. Although she was employed by the federal government for 20 years (March 2023), her greatest passion was being the owner of BlackAndCamping. She was also an honor student at Morgan State University, where she studied history. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling, being active, and she treasured time spent with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Alona is preceded in death by a sister Marquita Lee.
