Andres Cupino Abarro was born on November 30, 1935 in Rosario, Cavite, Philippines to the late Timoteo Abarro and Severina Abarro.
During his early adult years, Andres Abarro served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1980. He was a veteran of the Vietnam war and was retired honorably in 1980. Andres and his wife moved to Maryland soon after he retired to raise their four daughters.
Andres adored his wife Patrocinia, was a devoted father to his four daughters and relished every moment he spent with his grandchildren. Andres worked hard to provide the best for his family, while still finding happiness and joy in the simplest of things. He loved music, played the trumpet, and could effortlessly dance the boogie and cha-cha even into his later years. Andres was a skilled table tennis player and an avid fan of professional tennis and boxing. He also had fondness of his time in San Diego, always reminiscing about the time he spent while stationed at the San Diego naval base.
Andres Abarro is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patrocinia Abarro, children Janice Abarro, Nina Glorioso and husband Chad, Cindy Domingo and husband John, and Joyce Abarro; grandchildren Gianna, Hannah, and Ivy Glorioso and Jane Domingo. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings Delfin Abarro, Juanita Abarro, Augustina Abarro, Godofredo Abarro, Bienvenido Abarro, Juanito Abarro and Efipanio Abarro.
Despite a long battle with congestive heart failure and Alzheimers, Andres was always surrounded by the love of his family until the time he had passed away on February 2, 2018.
