Andrew Johns

Andrew Johns, born March 2, 1926 in Bedford, VA to the late McGinnis and Bertha Johns (nee Branham). A resident of Severn since 1946, Mr. Johns work in Maintenance, where he worked for Stay Dry Paint Co. for 14 years, Baltimore Paint & Gleen for 5 years and W.T. Barnett's in Jessup where he worked for 20 years until his retirement in 1993. A proud Army Veteran who served during WW II and was a 65 year member of American Legion Post #276 in Severn. In his spare time Andrew enjoyed gardening and hunting. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Theresa U. Johns (nee Goedeke) as well as a grandson Brandon Ripple, 4 brothers and a sister. He is survived by children Andrew R. and Richard E. Johns, Dorothy M. Ripple and Barbara M. Happel, all of Severn as well as his brother Gilbert Johns of Stanford, VA, 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.  He passed away peacefully at Futurecare Chesapeake in Arnold.
