Born Anita A. Jackman in Panama on October 21, 1935 and a longtime resident of Severn, MD. Mrs. Young was a homemaker and an Army wife to her beloved husband, the late Cephus Young, Jr. who passed away in 2010. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses where she was an active member. She enjoyed many different arts and crafts and at one time she sold copper decorative items for the home. Anita is survived by a son Santiago LaBastid of Panama, brother Raphael Jackman of New Jersey, sisters Cherylann Pipersburgh and Barbara Austin of Maryland, Deborah Jackman of Panama and Loretta Cummings of Florida. She is also survived by grandchildren Antonia Scott, Elvia, Fulva and Santiago LaBastid, III and great-grandchildren Arianna and Ariel Scott, Damon Brown, Iris Daily.
