Born Anna Jean Truxal on December 6, 1915 in Johnstown, PA to Marcellus Truxall and Isabel (Berlin) Truxal. Jean or A.J., as all of her many firneds called her, has lived in Maryland since 1963. She was employed by Westinghouse M.E.D. (later A.T.L.) as one of the first inspectors for the new division. She retired in 1980 as a lab aid at the Space Division. In retirement she liked to knit, read and watch Hollywood musical classics. Mrs. Ludwig was a faithful member of Christ Lutheran Church in Baltimore. In addition to her parents, she is preceeded in death by her husband Herbert Ludwig, her son Robert Ludwig and her brother Charles "Jack" Truxal. She is survived by her daughter Patricia L. Swayze of Millersville, MD, her son H. Donald Ludwig & wife Karen of Sykesville, MD, her brother Mark Truxall and his wife Wilma of Columbus, Ohio and a sister Lois James of Columbus, Ohio. She is also survived by four grandchildren, William and his wife Karen of Parkton, Douglas of Monkton and fiance' Kimberly Morton, Terry of Harrogate, England and Jennifer of Arbutus. She passed away peacefully at her daughter's home after being in declining health for several months.
