Anna Maria Stickley

ANNA MARIA STICKLEY, age 84, and a long resident of the Harundale community passed away peacefully on September 11, 2023, with family members at her side. Anna was born in Ulm, Germany on August 3, 1939, to Paul and Wilhelmine (Beuter) Birk (deceased). She married Mose "Bud" Stickley on September 17, 1955, and they moved to the United States, settled in Anne Arundel County to start their new life and raise their remarkable family. Anna and Bud shared nearly 45 years of marriage together before his passing in 1999. Anna was naturalized as a citizen of the United States on February 11, 1966, of which she was extremely proud. True to her nurturing nature, Anna retired from University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center after 25 years of dedicated service as a "comfort care" companion. She was devoted to her family, always finding time to help in whatever way she could.

Anna's family includes: three children, Doug Stickley, Pam Murnane, Cindy Sacha; seven grandchildren, Keith Stickley, Jr., Ryan Beatley, Matt Beatley, Patrick Murnane, Jessica Stickley, Jenn Beatley, Alyssa Campbell; five great-grandchildren, Brexton Stickley, Lexi Stickley, Caleb Beatley, Olivia Beatley, Ava Payne; two sons-in-law, Kevin Murnane, Ned Sacha; four siblings, Wilhelmine Chapman (deceased), Sophie Fuchsluger (deceased), Hans Birk, Paul Birk, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Family and friends may gather at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Monday, September 25, 2023, 3pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm. Funeral Service on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, 11:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church, Interment immediately following at Crownsville MD Veterans Cemetery.
