Anthony Francis Zaukus, Sr. was born on June 3, 1933 in Severn, Maryland to the late Frank and the late Rose Margaret (Habel) Zaukus. Anthony served in the US Army in Korea. He was a Cloverland Dairy Milkman in his early years but retired as a truck driver for Buck Distributing. He loved fishing, crabbing, being in his vegetable garden, taking long rides, casino slots, watching trains, NASCAR, Ravens football and the Orioles.
Anthony F. Zaukus, Sr. passed away peacefully from natural causes at the Crofton Care and Rehabilitation Center on January 16, 2021. In addition to his parents, Anthony is also preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Dorothy E. (White) Zaukus, brothers Joseph, Francis, and William Zaukus and sister Dorothy Zaukus. Those left to cherish his memory are his 6 children, Elisa Colburn (Bruce) of Millersville, Kathy Bennett (Glenn) of Glen Burnie, John Falconer (Sharon) of Jessup, David Zaukus (Linda) of Reisterstwon, Kenneth Falconer of Glen Burnie, Anthony F. Zaukus, Jr. (Jill) of Pasadena, sister Margaret (Sis) Sorensen; 12 grandchildren, B. Gregory Colburn, Steven Colburn (Christine), Glenn Bennett (Cindy), Brandi Martin (Mike Dews), Jessica Falconer, Rachel Austin (Josh), Jason Falconer, Kristy Falconer, Amanda Falconer, Sarah Zaukus (James), Andrew Zaukus, Bradley Zaukus; and 5 great grandchildren, Gabby Colburn, Tony Martin, Gage Dews, Evelyn Austin and Alice Austin.
Family and friends may call at the KIRKLEY-RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, January 21, 2021, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Graveside Services will be held Friday, January 22, 2021, 11 am at Lakemont Memorial Garden.
