Barbara Ann Deaton

Barbara Ann Deaton passed away on July 13, 2015 in Gambrills, Maryland. Born in Baltimore to the late Howard and Daisy Bottiger. Barbara lived her life in Anne Arundel County until 1999 when she moved to Delaware. She was a graduate of Western High School and was a member of clubs such as, The Red Hat Society, Golden Chicks and the YMCA. She was active in the Grace of God Lutheran Church and she enjoyed watching the Orioles. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Deaton, Sr.; brothers, Charles Bottiger and Vernon Bottiger and granddaughter Heather Deaton. She is survived by her brother, Howard Bottiger, Jr, her sons , Robert L. Deaton of Glen Burnie and wife Vicki, Bruce A. Deaton of Springfield, MO and wife Margaret, Brian T Deaton of Eldersburg and wife Juanita; daughter, Deborah Redmond of Virginia Beach and husband Tom, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Friends and family may call at the family owned Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home, P.A. on Monday, July 20, 2015 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Service to be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. Interment in Meadowridge Memorial Park to follow service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Grace of God church, 26089 Shoppes at Long Neck, Millsboro, Delaware 19966.
