Barbara S. Duckett

Barbara S. Duckett, 90, Glen Burnie resident, died peacefully, Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the Fairfield Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in Crownsville, Maryland. She was born on Thursday, April 5, 1934, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Clay Ross and Margaret Korbach. Barbara was a nursing assistant in her younger years and then was a caretaker for a private family. She enjoyed going to the American Legion Post in Ocean City and traveling. Barbara was direct but sincere. She loved her family, and she will be greatly missed by them.

Barbara is preceded by her parents, Clay and Margaret (Korbach) Ross; and her siblings, Betty Lattanzio, Catherine Hoover, Carvilla Carson, Natalie Prate, Charlotte Nickerson ,and Henry “Sunny” Ross. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah McCarty and partner Karin  Specht.

Family and friends may visit the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service, Thursday, 11am at the funeral home. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara’s memory too: Hospice of the Chesapeake.
