Barbara S. Mace

November 8, 1932 — June 22, 2016

Barbara S. Mace, resident of Glen Burnie, passed away on June 22, 2016. Born in Rockford Illinois to the late Peter and Dorothy Simaitis (Nee Martin). Barbara was an Administrative supervisor for the University of Maryland Department of Pediatric Endocrinology for 30 years, retiring in 1999. She enjoyed Reading, cooking and doing puzzles. She was a wonderful mother, a kind and gentle person and will be missed greatly by those left to cherish her memory. She is survived by her son, Chris Mace and wife Theresa of Parkville; daughter Diane Ogorzalek and husband Mike of Delaware; daughter Kimberly Vigil Lubinski and husband Brian of Glen Burnie; brother Pete Simaitis and wife Betty of Rockford, Illinois; sisters Dorothy Wood and Patricia Cornelius of Rockford, Illinois; grandchildren Michelle Ogorzalek, Michael Vigil, Jr., Cody Vigil and Amanda Vigil.
In addition to her parents Barbara was preceded in death by husband David Mace, daughter Suzy Mace and sister Joan Liston.
Friends and Family may call at the Singleton Celebration Center, 206 Crain Highway S. Glen Burnie, MD 21061, 2-5pm on Sunday, June 26, 2016. Funeral Service will be 1pm, Monday, June 27, 2016 at Singleton Celebration Center, Interment will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery, Rosedale, MD.
