Obituary

Barbara Jeanne Plews, 83, passed away peacefully after a 10-year battle with dementia, she was surrounded by her family. 

Barbara was born November 29, 1942, she was the 3 rd of 8 children born to the late Richard William Graham Plews and Maude Helen Plews (Nee Kremer). 

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her siblings Robert A. (Bobby) Plews, Nancy Lee Knight, Richard Graham (Dickey) Plews, Bonnie Lee Diehl, Shirley Ann Plews & David William Plews. She is survived by her children Barbie Lusby Grap (John), Debbie Lusby Adle (Bob), Paul A. Lusby, Terry Lusby Nocar (Al), Lisa Lusby Scatton (Carl), (8) Grandchildren, (16) Great Grandchildren, her Brother Paul Plews & sister in laws Beth and Patsy Plews, God Daughter Jayne Stracke, Lifelong Friends Martha Hampton and Amanda Brown, Grand pup Snoopy, and many nieces and nephews. 

She grew up and was a long-time resident of the Marley Park Community. Barbara was raised as a Christian in the Church of the Nazarene. She Graduated from Glen Burnie High School. She retired from Harland Check Printing Company & AMF Bowling Lanes after 20 plus years of employment. Barbara along with her brother David helped care for their sister Shirley. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, bowling and going on yearly bowling tournament trips, she also enjoyed playing Bingo with her nieces. She was previously a member of the Blue Bells Club and enjoyed attending Bull and Oyster Roasts and Crab Feasts with friends and family. 

She will be greatly missed and loved by all.

Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Friday, July 31st, from 10am -12pm. Funeral service to begin at 12pm. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
