Bertha E. Patterson

On February 23, 2010, Bertha (Betty) E. Patterson passed away peacefully at home. She was 89.  Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on July 11, 1920, she lived for over 41 years in the Southgate community in Anne Arundel County. Prior to that, she lived with her family in Essex.   A homemaker, Betty proudly served her country as a part of the WAVES during WWII. Beloved wife of 63 years to the late Aubrey Patterson Jr.; Devoted mother of Russell Patterson of Eldersburg, Elizabeth Lowers of Chase, Aubrey Patterson of Annapolis, David Patterson of Glen Burnie and Sheryl Paris of Annapolis; Cherished grandmother of five granddaughters and adoring great-grandmother of two boys and three girls.  She was predeceased by her sister and three brothers.
