Born Bertha L. Kirby in Crozet, VA on July 2, 1931 to the late Percy D. and Alberta (Woodson) Kirby. Mrs. Bertha Schulze was a resident of Essex for the past fifteen years. She was a retail clerk for Pantry Pride, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Bertha ran Friday Night's at Carols Western Apparel Hall. She enjoyed doing crafts, listening to country music, reading and loved flowers.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bertha L. Schulze was preceded in death by her beloved husband Mr. Comley Schulze, son Mr. Melvin Lee Schulze and grandson Mr. Shayne Schulze. Those left to cherish her memory are her son Mr. Randolph W. Schulze of Westminster, her brother Mr. Edward Kirby of Virginia, her granddaughter Ms. Heather Schulze and her great-grandson Mr. Shayne R. Schulze-Coran.
Mrs. Bertha L. Schulze passed away peacefully at Seasons Hospice at Franklin Square Hospital on September 3, 2020. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
