Betty A. Cassell

She was born Betty A. Steely on March 20, 1925 in Gratz, PA to the late William D. and Jennie E. Salzer Steely. Mrs. Cassell was a resident of Linthicum since 1957. She was a secretary for Westinghouse during her working career. She enjoyed gardening, doing needlepoint, crocheting, quilting, playing bingo and doing puzzles.  In addition to her parents she is preceded by her beloved husband  Elwood P. Cassell to whom she was married for 58 years when he passed away in 2012 as well as brothers David and William Steely, Jr. and sisters Mildred Steely, Helen Klinger, Ada Shaeffer and Edna Coleman. Betty is survived by several nieces and nephews, Denise, Barbara, Susan, John, Donald, Richard, Diane, Mark, Deborah and Irene and her dear friends Irene Broch and Sharon Schultz. She passed away peacefully at Brightview Assisted Living in Catonsville.

Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, 11:00am-12:30pm.  Interment immediately following at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
