Betty J. Hook

She was born Betty Jane Parrish on July 12, 1941 in Baltimore, MD to the late John Edward and Marion Elizabeth Lane Parrish and was a lifetime resident of Anne Arundel County. She was a housekeeper at Baltimore Washington Medical Center during her working career. In her spare time she enjoyed crochet, sewing, playing cards, pencil drawing, coloring, gardening, playing computer games, listening to music, and cuddling with her poodle Louis. She loved spending time with friends and family, frequent trips to Ocean City, attending Ronnie Dove concerts, and sitting on her porch to eat crabs. In addition to her parents Betty is preceded by her loving husband of 60 years Robert E. Hook, Jr. who passed away in 2022 as well as brothers Gilbert R. Parrish , Edward J. Parrish, Ronald L. Parrish and sisters Frances E.Lafferty and Norma L. Sours. Left to cherish her memory are her son Robert E. Hook 3rd ,and daughters Sherry Floer and her husband Darwin ,Lisa Dinko and her husband Dan, and Sandra Hook. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm.  Service will be Wednesday, November 13, 2024, 12:00pm, Interment immediately following at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
