Betty J. Rutherford

Born Betty J. Delong in Ironton, OH on May 22, 1934 to Robert Willis Delong and his wife Mary Jane Delong (nee Ruggles). She served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and settled in Maryland after being discharged from Ft. Meade. She lived in Glen Burnie for the past 49 years. A homemaker for most of her life, she enjoyed time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren, watching TV News shows, crochet and gardening. In addition to her parents she is preceeded in death by her husband Dallie G. "Frank" Rutherford and siblings Bob "Junior" and Billie Joe Delong, Wanda "Dodie" Pearson and Ella "Tootsie" Salyers. She is survived by her daughter Deborah J. Boyer and her husband of 28 years, Kevin D. Boyer of Glen Burnie, Brothers Donald, Jack and Walter Delong of Ohio. Grandchildren Kyle D. Boyer, Drew K. Boyer and his companion Marie D. Wilson and Stephanie J. Boyer and her companion Thiraphat Pongsudhiraks and her greatgrandchildren Samantha L. Thompson and Jayden D. Boyer.
