Burton L. McKitrick was born on July 17, 1934 in Laurel, MD to the late Frank Raymond and Nellie A. Babbitt McKitrick and lived in Glen Burnie for most of the last 68 years. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1957-59. After his time in the service Mr. McKitrick enjoyed a career as a personnel specialist as a civilian enployee for the Army. He was one of the founding members of the Laurel Rescue Squad and was active with the Harundale Little League in earlier days. In his spare time Burton enjoyed reading, travel, tending to his roses and watching old westerns. In addition to his parents he is preceded by his wife Joyce M. Martin McKitrick and brother Raymond L. McKitrick. Left to cherish his memory are his sons William B. McKitrick (JoAnn) of Glen Burnie and Burton L. McKitrick of Westminster, and sister Mary Lynette Harkness of Hudson, OH. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Kari-Ann McKitrick Denny (Tim), Jennifer-Ann Bunn, and Stephen Robert Johns Jr. (Krissy) and 9 great grandchildren Drayk, Austyn, Anthony, Gabe, Triton, Calder, McKinzley-Ann, Oaklee-Ann and Knox.
Family and Friends may visit at the Kirkley Ruddick Funeral Home, Monday, December 15th, 10:00am - 11:00am, service immediately following. Interment will be at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
