Carl V. Knotts

April 25, 1928 — September 18, 2018

Carl V. Knotts was born on April 25, 1928 in West Virginia to the late Luther and Emily Knott (nee Goff) and lived in Cumberland and the past 3 years after spending the previously residing in Harford County. He proudly served with the Army during the Korean War and retired as a welder for General Electric after many years of service. He was a handy man and was described by his family as a craftsman because of the detail of his work.  In addition to his parents, Carl is preceded in death by his wife Edna L. Knotts (nee Carper). Mr. Knotts is survived by son Jerry Knotts of PA, Richard Knotts of MD, Carol Knotts of Frostburg, MD step-father of Jean Cruzs of Joppa and her husband Walter, Betty Clancy of Florida and her husband Ed, Nancy D'Amico of Pasadena and her husband Pete and Janet Montgomery of Baltimore and her late husband Ed. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Carl passed away peacefully at Western MD Regional Medical Center in Cumberland.
