Carol Elizabeth Garner

Carol Elizabeth (Crigger) Garner, 70, resident of Preston, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Caroline Nursing Home on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. Carol was born in Annapolis, Maryland, on Tuesday, August 31, 1954, to Albert Henry and Vera Lucille (Wilson) Crigger, Sr. Carol grew up in a large family of 10, and family was everything to her. She loved being surrounded by people, especially children, and was a school bus driver for Prince George's County Public School System for many years. She adored her cats and loved taking care of animals, but her grandbabies were her world. Carol was a kind and selfless woman. She will be greatly missed by her family.

Carol is preceded by her parents, Albert Henry Cligger, Sr., and Vera Lucille (Wilson) Crigger; her husband of 53 years, Gabriel Lee Garner, Jr.; her daughter, Carolyn Garner; her granddaughter, Carolyn Keats; her sisters, Joyce Nicholson, Alberta "Sissy" Hambrock, Shirley DiLeonardi and her brothers; Albert H. Crigger, Jr. and Charles "Jabo" Crigger. She is survived by her daughter, Vera Leah Garner of Preston; her sister, Mildred "Millie" Crigger of Shady Side, MD, her brother, Paul A. Crigger Sr. of Denton; her granddaughter, Alyssa Good of Coconut Creek, Florida and her two great grandbabies, McKenna Good and Zachary Good Jr.

Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Monday, July 7th, 10am - 12pm. Funeral service to follow immediately, Monday, July 7th, 12pm. Interment private.
