On Saturday, November 23, 2019, Carol Lee Lawrence, loving mother of two and grandmother of six, passed away at the age of 76.
Carol was born on March 27, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland to Betty (Schmidt) Gram and Raymond Dorschel. She grew up in Glen Burnie, MD, and graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1961. She went on to become a legal secretary, working in several prominent firms in Annapolis, Glen Burnie and Baltimore, MD. She married G. Thomas Neuenschwander and raised a son and daughter, Daniel Bradley Neuenschwander and Amy Elizabeth Neuenschwander. She got remarried to William Lawrence in 1992 and became widowed in 2011.
Carol was a lover of classical music, an avid reader and selfless in how she cared for her loved ones. She was known for her kind, giving heart, her top notch organizational skills, and taking care of business when the need arose.
Carol is preceded in death by her father Ray, her mother Betty, her brother Ray, and her husband Bill. She is survived by her two children, Brad and Amy Neuenschwander and her six grandchildren Steven and Jacob Sherman, Molly Chambers, Isaac and Jadon Neuenschwander and Zev Levin-Pilafian.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 30 at 11am with a time of gathering before the service beginning at 10am, at Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home, 421 Crain Hwy, Glen Burnie, MD 21061. Donations may be sent to Hospice of the Chesapeake and HOPE for all in lieu of flowers.
