Carolyn Lavern Furness

Carolyn LaVern Furness was born in Baltimore, Maryland on Friday, February 22, 1929, to Henry and Eloise (Hoefler) Resch. LaVern has been a resident of Charlestown Retirment Community since 2008 but formerly resided in Odenton. She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church for several years and filled her time with travelling, reading and watching the Orioles.

LaVern is preceded by her parents, Henry Resch and Eloise (Hoefler) Resch; husband, Russell M. Furness, Sr., and daughter, Pamela Engel. She is survived by her children, Russell M. Furness, Jr. of Glen Burnie, Carla Grimes of Eastern Shore and Robyn Furness-Fallin of Fairhope, Alabama; companion, Bill Jubb; brother, Hank Resch of Florida; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
