Carolyn Marie Keats of South Boston, VA passed away June 17, 2021.  She was born in Washington, DC on Thursday, March 2, 2000 and was 21 years of age. She was the daughter of Vera Lee Garner and the late Gary Wayne Keats, Sr.
She was a member of Oak Level Presbyterian Church. She graduated last year with a degree of Sociology from Shenandoah University. Prior to her untimely death, Carolyn worked at Atiba Intervention Services, LLC. as a Turn Around Specialist.  She provided services to both mentally ill adults and children. One week prior to the car accident, she was awarded her license as a Qualified Mental Health Professional by the Virginia Board of Counseling.  She is greatly missed by all of her coworkers and clients alike. Carolyn was an avid traveler that loved going and seeing new places. She was also an animal lover. Her dogs were her babies and she had a passion for rescuing animals as well. Carolyn was a loving, caring person and brightened the lives of all that knew her. She will forever be remembered for her beautiful and bright soul, and as a dear daughter, fiancé, granddaughter, sister, and friend.
Carolyn M. Keats is survived by her mother, Vera Lee Garner of South Boston; her grandparents, Gabriel and Carol Garner of South Boston;
Delores Shuey of Annapolis, MD; her sisters, Alyssa Good and husband Zachary of Coconut Creek, FL
Jessica Keats of Annapolis, MD; her brother, Gary Keats and his wife Melissa of Winchester, VA; her fiancé, Travis Helton of South Boston and her dog Callie.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her Dog who passed away with her, Remi.
A memorial gathering and service will be announced when confirmed.
