She was born Catherine R. Robbins on May 14, 1969 in California to the late Aron Charles and Joan Patricia Orawski Johnston. She made her way across the country and settled in Maryland over 30 years ago. While living in Nevada she was trained as a slot machine mechanic. Many people in the Glen Burnie area will know her as a longtime waitress at the Honey Bee Restaurant. She was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Catherine enjoyed trips to the casinos, playing bingo, cooking and decorating her home for the holidays. In addition to her parents, Cat is preceded by her brother Patrick Robbins. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 23 years John D. Gerard, Jr. of Glen Burnie, daughter Nickole Pelletier of Wyoming, Michael Johnston of Nevada as well as grandchildren Joseph Morris, Cody Cruz and Amy McLean. She passed away peacefully at the Rebecca Fortney Inpatient Care Center at Hospice of the Chesapeake following an extended illness.
