Cephes Young Jr.

On May 20, 2010, Cephes Young Jr. of Severn passed away. He was 65.  Cephes served his country as a member of the United States Army for 20 years. After retiring, he worked for 7-11 and the Post Office.  Cephes used to coach football, basketball and baseball for Parks and Recreation.  He also enjoyed fishing and boating.  Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, Cephes lived for over 20 years in Severn.  Devoted son of Carrie Green and the late Cephes Sr.; Beloved husband for 44 years to Anita A. Young; Loving father of Santiago LaBastid of Panama; Caring brother of Carolyn Robinson (Texas), Clementine Green (Texas), Jaqueline Jones (Louisiana) Cassandra Young (Texas) and Peggy Young (Louisiana); Cherished grandfather of Antonio Scott and Santiago III of Severn and Elvia LaBastid of Baltimore and Fulva LaBastid of Columbia; Adoring great-grandfather of Arielle Scott, Arianna Scott, Damon Brown and Iris Daily.
