Charles Joseph Pierpoint was born on January 11, 1949, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Joseph Edward and Margaret Uhlhorn Pierpoint. A longtime resident of Glen Burnie, Charlie called the community home for over 40 years.
A proud graduate of Glen Burnie High School, Charlie dedicated more than five decades of his professional life to Northrup Grumman, where he remained actively employed until his passing—a testament to his strong work ethic and commitment.
Charlie lived a full and vibrant life, enjoying a wide array of hobbies. He found joy in building with Legos, playing golf, tending to his aquarium, and traveling. In his earlier years, he especially loved the freedom of riding his motorcycles.
He is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 45 years, Sharon Lynn Fincham Pierpoint; his son, Joseph C. Pierpoint (Alison) of England; and his daughter, Charlene D. Smith (Carl) of Alabama. He also leaves behind his loving sisters, Barbara Bunn and Denise Dunkerly (Richard) of Pasadena, and Eileen Steele of Lansdowne. Charlie was a proud grandfather to seven cherished grandchildren (Jack, Henry, Zach, Abby, Tommy, Tori, & Oliver) who will carry on his legacy with love.
Charlie will be remembered for his steady presence, his deep devotion to family, and a life well-lived.
