Charles L. Weaver

May 10, 1942 — November 16, 2021

Glen Burnie

Charles LaMar Weaver was born in Cleveland, Ohio on Sunday, May 10, 1942 to Jerome Anthony and Rita Marie (Roelle) Weaver. Chuck was a veteran who served in the Navy. He earned his dolphins and served on the USS Torsk, currently docked in Baltimore, Maryland. Every weekend, he’d work with the Torsk Volunteer Association to not only restore the boat, but lead tours. In addition, he organized reunions where those who served aboard the USS Cutlass--another submarine he had served aboard--could reconnect. However, his service in preserving history didn’t end there. He also worked on restoring the Liberty Ship John W. Brown, also docked in Baltimore, utilizing his background as an electrical engineer. Always having a passion for motorsports and racing, he taught performance driving and driver safety at Summit Point Motorsports Park for years. Chuck always did his best to help those in need and will greatly missed by so many.

Chuck is preceded by his parents, Jerome Antony Weaver and Rita Marie (Roelle) Weaver and his brother, Raymond Weaver. He is survived by his loving wife Alice Jo Albina (Resler) Weaver; his caring children, Victoria Ivicek (John, Jr.) and David Weaver (Tina Truong); his siblings, Tom Weaver, Dennis Weaver, Margaret Knudson (Jim), Dolores Kelley, Lisa Cooper and his sister-in-law Kathy Weaver.
