Charles Dwayne Williams was born April 19, 1937 in Ottumwa, Iowa to the late Lawrence and Mayda Williams (nee Marrison). He served with the Army during the early 60's in Germany and after leaving the service, settled in Maryland. Mr. Williams received his B.S. in Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and worked as a civil engineer with the Anne Arundel County Dept. of Public Works. After his retirement he worked part time as an engineer for soil conservation. He was a resident of the Crownsville area for over 50 years. Charles enjoyed his dog, bike riding, reading, WWII History and was described as a very social person. He enjoyed his monthly Canasta game with friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years when she passed away in 2010, Cheryl Darlene Williams (nee Arbogast) as well as his brothers Paul and Robert Williams. He is survived by his son Robert A. Williams of Crownsville and his daughter Angela D. Williams of Boston, MA. He passed away peacefully at Anne Arundel Medical Center surrounded by his family and his dog.
