Born Charlotte May Melton on March 6, 1928 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Charles E. & May E. Melton (nee Jackson). A longtime resident of Glen Burnie, she loved her work as a teaching assistant at the Ruth Eason School, she was active in Little League when her children were young. She also enjoyed swimming and travel. She retired as an accounting assistant with the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab. After retirement she worked for many years as a hostess at Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home. In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband John E. Adams, Jr.. Mrs. Adams is survived by her daughter Patricia M. Amstrong of Westminster and her son Scott D. Adams of Glen Burnie. She is also survived by cherished grandchildren Timothy P. Armstrong, Cindy L. Burkovich and Jennifer L. Bishop, as well as great-grandchildren Ethan and Aiden Haines, Austin Shaeffer, Nathan and Amelia Armstrong, and Emily and Logan Burkovich. She passed away peacefully at Genesis Eldercare of Severna Park after being in declining health for several years.
