Born in Athol, Mass. on April 10, 1933 Mr. Patenaude served with the Army for over 20 years during both the Korean Conflict and the Viet Nam War. He settled in Glen Burnie with his family 30 Years ago. After his time in the service he worked as an automotive mechanic until his retirement in 1986. An avid boater and boat restorer, he is the Past Comandant of the Nabbs Creek Yaucht Club. He is also a life member of V.F.W. Post # 521 in Owings Mills, and American Legion Post #277 in Pasadena and well as a member of the Glen Burnie Moose Lodge #1546. In his spare time, he enjoyed Boating and Camping. In addition to his parents he is preceeded in death by his wife Carole L. Patenaude (nee Osterkamp) and his son Robert P. Patenaude, who passed away October 15 of 2008. He is survived by his daughter Lynn C. Wallace of Glen Burnie, sister Zoe Patenaude of Mass. as well as two grandchildren. Mr. Patenaude passed away peacefully at the Glen Burnie Health & Rehabilitation Center after an illness of several months.
