Claudette Coleman was born to the late James and Allie Coleman on March 12, 1942 in Alcoa, Tennessee. On July 1, 2020, Claudette was called home to eternal rest.
She received her education at Charles M. Hall in Alcoa, Tennessee, and then she moved to Brooklyn, NY and continued her education there. She graduated from Clara Barton High School in Brooklyn, NY. Claudette was joined in marriage to Joseph Robinson and out of that union produced three beautiful children: Sharon Arlynn (preceded in death), Jerome Curtis, and Steven Michael.
Claudette attended Community Church of Christ in Jamaica, NY, were she served as a faithful deaconess, usher, trustee and member of the board. Claudette enjoyed cooking, bowling, and going to church. In addition, she loved watching WWE wrestling with her grandson Ryan, and great nephews Niles and Will.
After 37 years of service, Claudette retired from the Social Security Administration in 2004 in Queens, NY. She relocated to Glen Burnie, MD in 2007 to be closer to her family. She later joined Silas First Baptist Church of Severna Park, MD under leadership of Pastor Jesse Eugene Young. She enjoyed shopping which includes Home Shopping Network (HSN) and QVC. Her favorite gift was Estee Lauder all kinds, especially Estee.
Claudette leaves to cherish her life and memory: Jerome Curtis (Alexandra), Steven Michael (Karen), adopted son (Jody), three beautiful grandchildren: Devin Michael, Ryan Curtis and Valencia Crystal Arlynn; Two favorite cousins Loretta and Debra, two nieces: Donna and Cindy; nephew: Cleveland (Jr), One sister in law Lottie Robinson (Gloucester, VA), One brother in law William Brown (Eastern shore, MD) One Aunt Alberta Reid (Savannah, GA), great nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends that she adored.
Friends may call on the family Thursday, July 9 from 11 AM-1 PM with funeral service at 1 PM at the family owned Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home, 421 Crain Hwy SE, Glen Burnie, MD 21061
