Dallie G. Rutherford Jr.

On March 4, 2009, Dallie G. “Frank” Rutherford Jr., 70, a 43 year resident of Glen Burnie, died of pneumonia and complications of Parkinson’s disease at BWMC. He was born January 21, 1939 in Pulaski, VA, to Grace and Dallie Rutherford Sr. He was retired from Walmart (Store #1875), where he worked for over 10 years. Prior to that, he was a mechanic for Dovell & Williams. Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. He liked to watch sports, but most especially, he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Frances Seagle. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Betty J. Rutherford (nee Delong) whom he married August 22, 1961. One daughter and son-in-law Deborah J. and Kevin D. Boyer of Glen Burnie; three grandchildren Stephanie J., Kyle D. and Drew K. Boyer of Glen Burnie; five sisters Bertha Miller of Roanoke, VA, Alice Duncan of Hiwassee, VA, Betty Lineberry of Dublin, VA, Ellen Boyd of Charleston, SC and Barbara Meyer of Pulaski, VA.
