Daniel Marc Huddy, born on October 20, 1969, in Maryland, was a cherished lifelong resident of the Linthicum and Glen Burnie communities. The beloved son of Donald Robert Huddy of South Carolina and the late Judith Ann Huddy (née Oliver), Daniel’s roots ran deep in the area he called home.
For many years, Daniel faithfully served as a delivery driver for United Parcel Service, dedicating himself to his profession with diligence and care. Beyond his work, he was a devoted father and a passionate supporter of his sons’ athletic pursuits. He generously shared his time and spirit as a coach with both Upward Sports and the Linthicum Ferndale Athletic Association, nurturing the talents and teamwork of the youth in his community. Outside of these commitments, Daniel found joy in the simple pleasures of golf and crabbing in the bay.
Daniel’s memory will be tenderly preserved by his beloved wife of 23 years, Shannon Lynn Huddy (née Turner) of Glen Burnie; his sons, Mason David Huddy of Pensacola, Florida, and Nathan Daniel Huddy of Glen Burnie; his cherished niece Meghan Ann Schmidtman of Glen Burnie; and his brother David Huddy, sister in law Donna Huddy, niece Allison Jones, nephew Sean Smith—of Linthicum.
His life was emblematic of steadfast devotion to family, community, and the pursuits that brought him happiness. Daniel Marc Huddy leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and commitment that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
