David Joseph Benner, beloved father, brother, son and friend passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 29, 2018 at his home in Pasadena, Md. He was 55.
Prior to his death, Dave’s career spanned over 35 years, as the Survey Crew Chief for Anne Arundel County and Computer Network Administrator. Dave was a life-long member of the 12-step fellowship, loyal Ravens & Orioles fan , tremendous athlete and outdoors-man, who took every opportunity for an adventure, which most recently included fishing and crabbing with his son, Ryan in his boat. Dave loved mountain biking through Patapsco State Park and Frederick, and mentoring Ryan in sports like wrestling where he drew upon his past experience as a H.S. wrestler. Dave played racquetball at the Severna Park Racquet Club for many years. Dave loved his family and friends fiercely and his passion, intensity and humor touched many people's lives.
Dave is survived by his wife and son Karen and Ryan Benner, his mother and father Gerri and Wally Benner, his sister Terri Polm, brother Tom Benner and wife, Mary Botticelli, his nephews/niece Nick Benner, Laura Koivula, Danny Polm, Jason Polm and loving dogs, Jasmine and Cody.
