Dolores Helena Arostegui

Dolores Helena Zaczek Arostegui was born in Baltimore on March 25, 1932 to the late Peter John and Agnes Helena Zaczek. She was a lifelong resident of Glen Burnie. Dolores was devoted to her family and faith. As a devout Catholic, she was a member of Holy Trinity’s Sodality and prayed the Rosary everyday. Dolores worked in licensing for the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) where she retired in 1997. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, coloring, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles and reading non-fiction. She also loved nature, especially watching the birds and squirrels.

Dolores passed away peacefully at Anne Arundel Medical Center on March 3, 2021, after spending the past four years residing at Crofton Care and Rehabilitation Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Richard Roch Arostegui. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Michelle Helena Novak and granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Novak.

Friends may call from 3:30 – 7 PM on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the family owned Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home, 421 Crain Hwy SE, Glen Burnie, MD 21061. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM on Tuesday, March 9 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 6401 S Orchard Rd, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090.
