Dominick A. Covello, 82, a resident of Mount Airy, passed away in Dundalk unexpectedly on August 2, 2026.

Born on July 5, 1944, in New York to Rose (Russotti) and Joseph Covello. Dominick lived a life defined by his work and his love for those around him. He graduated in 1962 from Brooklyn Automotive in New York, where he discovered his talent for working with his hands—a skill that served him well throughout his life.

Dominick spent several productive years working for Unique Enterprises in Frederick, where his dedication was well known. Outside of his professional life, he found simple joys in playing cards with friends and listening to music. Above all, his heart was fullest on Sundays, when he would gather his entire family for dinner. He took immense pride in cooking and hosting, cherishing these moments as the centerpiece of his week.

Family was always paramount to Dominick, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Dominick is preceded by his parents, Rose and Joseph Covello; and his wife of 41 years, Margetta (Libber) Covello. He is survived by his children, Joseph A. Covello, Dominic A. Covello, and Bethany R. Covello; his sister, Mary Ulino; and his grandchildren, Herbert D. Moran, Vincent A. Moran, and Lucas C. Covello.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, August 15th, from 12pm - 2pm, at KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME. A memorial service will begin immediately following the gathering, at 2pm.
