Donald “Craig” English, Jr., 41, of Dundalk, Maryland, died on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, under hospice care and surrounded by his family. Craig had been battling pancreatic cancer for much longer than expected, surprising his doctors and nurses, and showing his strength and fight for life.
He was born on Wednesday, August 24, 1983, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Helen M. (Zimmerman) English and Donald Craig English Sr. Craig graduated from Old Mill High School in 2001, where he was an excellent baseball player, being invited to play in the Maryland Crown Allstar game at Camden Yards and being recruited to play college baseball in Alabama. His love for the game didn't end when he graduated, you could often find him at Oriole Park with friends and family enjoying a game. He also enjoyed going fishing, crabbing and being on his boat and kayak. Visiting family on the Chester River for a day of conversation, relaxation, and eating steamed crabs was at the top of his list.
Craig was extremely proud of his service to the US military at Northrop Grumman, where he worked as an Electronics Manufacturing Specialist. He was a key contributor to the development and build of electronic assemblies for military aircraft in support of the US Warfighter. Craig earned several awards during his almost 20 years with Northrop Grumman.
Craig enjoyed life with laughs and smiles. He faced every battle with his head held high and a willingness to fight, which was how he took on his battle with cancer. He leaves behind so many that have loved and cared for him and would want his memory to leave a smile on your face, and maybe a giggle too. And the next time you see an O's game, or eat a steamed crab, think of him.
Craig is survived by his children, Donald Craig English, III, of Delaware, Silas Luke and Grace Margaret English of Linthicum, his mother, Helen M. English of Millersville; his sister, Kristin Kenworthy of Hereford; and several other family members and friends.
