Donaldson (Don), 86, formerly of Glen Burnie, MD, passed away in Mint Hill, NC
on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl (Hobbs) of 56
years, his sons Bryan (Valerie) and Brad (Amy), and his four grandchildren,
Caroline, Jackson, Nathan, and Anna. He is preceded in death by his brother,
Levin Parker Jr., and his nephews, Baby Parker, and Levin Parker III (Butch).
He was born in Baltimore, MD to the late Levin Sr. and Ida (Donaldson) Parker in
1936. Don grew up on the family truck farm on Crain Highway in Glen Burnie,
and graduated from Glen Burnie High School. He received his Bachelor of
Science degree in Business Management and Juris Doctor degree from the
University of Baltimore. He worked for the State of Maryland as an Administrative
Legal Officer. Don also served as a staff sergeant in the Army Reserve.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and especially his
grandchildren. He also enjoyed researching his family ancestry in Maryland
which dated back to the 1800’s. He was a member of the Anne Arundel
Historical Society, the University of Baltimore Alumni Association, and a former
member of the Glen Burnie Improvement Association. He was also a member of
the Glen Burnie Methodist Church where he was saved under the preaching of
E.T. Kirkley.
