On November 7, 2010, Doris E. Drenning passed away at the age of 81. Doris was born on July 18, 1929 in a farm house in Aurora, West Virginia. She attended West Virginia University. Doris lived in Glen Burnie for over 30 years and prior to that lived in Jessup. She worked as a custodian for the Anne Arundel County Public School system until she retired. She was an avid reader and loved working in her garden. Being artistic, she also enjoyed oil painting, crocheting, knitting, quilting and drawing. She loved all animals and when she wasn't spoiling her cats, she was feeding the birds, squirrels or neighborhood strays. Loving wife of 52 years to the late Donald E. Drenning; Devoted mother of Barbara L. Stumpf and her husband John III of Glen Burnie, William A. Drenning and his wife Julie of Severn, Mark C. Drenning of Glen Burnie and Todd M. Drenning of Glen Burnie; Cherished grandmother of Tori Hagedorn, Jes Stumpf, Heather Drenning, Kelly Drenning and Leah Drenning; Adoring great-grandmother of Billy Hagedorn, Brady Hagedorn, Johnny Stumpf 5th, Hugh Stumpf, Colton Stumpf and Malachi Drenning. She is also survived by her many beloved animal companions. Doris was predeceased by her sister Judith A. Zapata.
