Doris Crosby Tewell

Doris Mae Tewell passed away peacefully in Leesburg, VA on November 12, 2021, surrounded by family. She was born Doris Mae Crosby on March 2, 1935 in Maryland, to the late Kermit W. and Delma Watts Crosby. She was a resident of Severn for 51 years before moving to Leesburg, VA to be near her daughter. Doris worked many years for the Anne Arundel County Board of Education. She was a member of Heritage Church of God, the Ladies of the Moose in Glen Burnie and for over 30 years she was an active member of the Sweet Adelines singing group.  Doris enjoyed singing, traveling, playing Bingo, taking casino trips with her husband, but her family was the center of her world.

In addition to her parents she is preceded by her husband of 59 years, Meryl Blaine Tewell, Sr. who passed away in 2014, brother Kermit W. Crosby, Jr. and sister Janet Dennler. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Cindy Ravadge (Fred) of Leesburg, VA, sons M. Blaine Tewell, Jr. (Estela) of Idaho and Keith Tewell (Rose) of Pennsylvania, sister Adeline Johnson of Denton, MD, grandchildren Rebecca Kennon, Blaine Tewell, III, Andrew Ravadge and Matthew Ravadge, David Tewell, Gregory Tewell, and Amy Tewell, as well as great grandchildren, Koral Kennon, Alexandria Ravadge and Reagan Ravadge. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
