Born Dorothy Ann Whay in Baltimore, MD on September 7, 1939 to the late James Edward Whay and his wife Annie Belle Whay (nee Walden) she moved to Anne Arundel County when she was very young and has lived in the Glen Burnie area for most of her life. A member of the Glen Burnie High School Class of 1958, Dorothy was an avid bowler, painter, she did crochet, she enjoyed puzzles but her passion in life was collecting lighthouses. Mrs. Gibson is survived by her husband Robert E. Gibson, Sr. of Glen Burnie, her son Robert E. Gibson, Jr. of Delaware, her daughter Karen A. Wynn of Odenton, a sister Kelle Harris-Rhode of Virginia. She is also survived by her two loving grandchildren Jennifer Lynn Gibson and Katie Lynn Shaw as well as her first great-grandchild who was just born last week Emlyn L. Shaw. She passed away peacefully following a brief illness at Baltimore Washington Medical Center
