Dorothy June Purdum

Dorothy June Purdum, 87, resident of Manor Care Nursing Home of Dallastown, Pa died April 16, 2015. Dorothy was born December 1, 1927 to the late Richard and the late Myrtle (Smith) Thomas in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Dorothy worked mostly in Medical Offices doing Clerical work but also was a guide for the National Aquarium for over 15 years. She also loved being in the choir for church. She is preceded by her parents and husband, William Wallace Purdum. Dorothy is survived by her son, William K. Purdum of York, Pa; daughters, Lynn Martin of Glen Burnie and Jeanne Payton of Cheyenne, Wyoming; brother, Richard Thomas of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; sister, Lois DalSanto of Wilkes-Barre, Pa; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and or Holy Nativity Lutheran Church.
