Dorothy Jean Weir

Born Dorothy Jean Nicolson on November 9, 1936 in Baltimore, MD to Arthur Foster Nicholson, Jr. and his wife Susan Mary Nicholson. Dorothy spent most of her life in Baltimore before moving to Glen Burnie 9 months ago to be near her children. Professionaly she retired from the Baltimore City Police Dept. after a career of over 30 years where she began as a crossing guard and became a staff review specialist. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, her dogs and spending time with her family. She is survived by her sons Robert E. Weir, Jr. and Paul A. Weir, both of Glen Burnie, a brother Paul R. Nicholson of Cockeysville as well as 3 adoring grandchildren and 5 cherished great-grandchildren. Dorothy passed away peacefully on April 14 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center following an extended illness.
