Douglas Gregory Frye

On April 21, 2023, Douglas Gregory Frye, 63, lifetime Maryland resident, died peacefully at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Douglas was born on Monday, September 28, 1959, in Baltimore City, to Joan Christina (Pedersen) and Russell Marvin Frye, Jr. Douglas enlisted with the USMC and served with them from 1981-1985. He then enlisted with the Army and then with the Army National Guard. He held several jobs over the years, a master of several trades, but he could fix anything. He did everything around the house and always figured out a way. Douglas was a member of the American Legion Post 40. He coached basketball when his children were young. He enjoyed his Diet Cokes, scratch offs, fishing and being outside. Douglas was always fun, loved being the center of attention and could make you smile and laugh. He will be missed.

Douglas is survived by his children; Lacey Frye of Ridgely, Kayla Simering (Brandon) of Greensboro, Douglas Gregory Frye, II. (Amber) of Queenstown and Carly Frye (Robert) of North Beach; his siblings, Russell Frye, Kathy Verette, Richard Frye and Joan Frye; and his grandchildren, Travis, Lilah, Chase, Julee, Joslynn, Brielle, Miles, Kingsten, A'Mya, Eden and Robert Jr.

Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Friday, May 5th, from 11am - 12pm. Funeral service, 12pm, Noon, at the funeral home. Interment Crownsville MD VA Cemetery.
